The USS STERETT Association’s Board of Directors recently elected Randy Norton (BM3, 71-75) as an Officer-at-Large to represent the DLG-31 Shipmates (1967-1975) after the position became vacant. Randy has been to every reunion since 2015, deployed twice on DLG-31 in 1972 and 1973 off the coast of Vietnam, and is currently residing with his lovely wife Ofelia in Texas. Former Officer-at-Large (DLG) Rick Allard (RD1, 67-70) had to step down after recent health issues prevented him from fulfilling his duties. President Chuck Bond reluctantly accept his resignation, praising Rick for stepping up to the plate when the position became vacant. Welcome aboard Randy…job well done Rick!
