The Sterett Association Board of Officers has received the sad news that Captain Jack Hilton passed away Sunday May 18th from an apparent heart attack at home in Arlington, VA.  Captain Hilton served as Commanding Officer of DLG 31 from August, 1970 to March, 1972. Many shipmates will also remember "Captain Jack"  as an active member in the Sterett Assocation, most recently his attendence at the 2007 Reunion/ DDG 104 Christening Event in Portland last May.

Captain Hilton will be buried at Arlington National Cemetary on Wednesday August 13, with full military honors. Services will be held at the Old Chapel at Ft. Myer starting at 9:00 AM. Those attending the DDG 104 Commissioning Weekend August 8-10 may want to consider extending their stay to attend.  (This date is unconfirmed; confirmation should be available in the next newsletter.)
